The short, honest version.
Iter is built and operated as an open-source project by Spergs, LLC. These terms cover the iter.in website and the iter software you run yourself. Last updated: 2026-05-13.
Who you're agreeing with
“Iter,” “we,” and “us” mean Spergs, LLC, a Florida limited liability company. “The site” means the iter.in website and any pages and resources we publish under it. “The software” means the open-source iter codebase we publish on GitHub.
By using the site you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you don’t, please don’t use the site. Using the software is additionally governed by its open-source license (see below).
What this site is
iter.in is an informational marketing site. It describes the iter project, how it works, and how to get started. There are no user accounts, comments, forms, or interactive features on this domain. There’s nothing to sign up for here.
Iter itself is self-hosted software that runs on hardware you control. When you run iter on your own machines, Spergs, LLC is not operating a service for you and does not see your code, prompts, projects, or LLM activity. See the privacy policy for what that means in practice.
The software license
The iter source code is published under the
Apache License 2.0.
Your rights to use, modify, and redistribute the software are
defined by that license, which you can read in the
LICENSE file in the
repository. These terms govern your use of iter.in; they
don’t replace or override the Apache 2.0 license.
Where the Apache 2.0 license and these terms address the same topic (warranty, liability, IP), the Apache 2.0 license controls for the software itself.
Acceptable use of the site
Please don’t use iter.in to:
- Probe, scan, or attempt to breach the site’s security in a way intended to interfere with normal operation. (Good-faith security research is welcome; see Reporting security issues below.)
- Run automated scrapers, bots, or load generators against the site at a rate that interferes with availability for other visitors.
- Use the site, our content, or our brand in a way that suggests Spergs, LLC has endorsed something we haven’t.
- Use the site in violation of any applicable law in your jurisdiction or ours.
Intellectual property
The text, design, and code of iter.in are © Spergs, LLC unless otherwise noted. The “Iter” name, the iter glyph, and any related logos are trademarks of Spergs, LLC. The Apache 2.0 license covering the software does not grant trademark rights.
You may quote and link to public pages on the site for journalism, commentary, or reference. Please don’t republish material in a way that suggests it’s yours or that we’ve endorsed something we haven’t.
No warranty
The site and the software are provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t make any warranties, express or implied, about fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or that the site or software will be free of errors. Iter orchestrates AI-generated code changes against project files you point it at; you are responsible for reviewing those changes, running the software in environments you control, and keeping backups.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Spergs, LLC and its officers, members, and employees won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data, profits, code, or goodwill) arising out of or in connection with the site or the software, even if we’ve been advised of the possibility. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations; in those, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by local law.
Reporting security issues
If you find a security issue on iter.in or in the iter software itself, please email security@spergs.com rather than posting it publicly. We’ll get back to you and we won’t pursue legal action against good-faith security research that respects user data and gives us reasonable time to fix.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that can’t be resolved by emailing privacy@spergs.com will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to their personal jurisdiction.
